E-commerce development · Retail and B2B

Your own online store, built around how you sell.

Kodem develops custom e-commerce stores from scratch: catalogue, checkout, payments, shipping and invoicing, shaped around your products and your buyers. Store plans start at $3,000 as a one-time project fee. Our team runs and maintains the store after launch, while orders and stock stay in your hands.

  • Bilingual English and Arabic storefronts
  • Prices in more than one currency
  • Retail and dealer sales on one platform

Own store or marketplace?

Marketplaces bring new buyers. Your store keeps them.

Marketplaces are the quickest way to reach people who have never heard of you. The cost is commission on every order, constant price competition, and customer data that stays with the platform rather than with you.

Your own store works the other way round. Repeat buyers order without commission, you run campaigns to your own customer list, and people who search for your brand land on your site. The sensible set-up keeps both channels running and manages stock from one place.

In shortUse marketplaces for discovery and your own store for brand, margin and repeat customers. Where you sell in both places, stock synchronisation with marketplaces can be added to the scope.
  • Customer relationships and order data stay with you
  • No platform commission on orders through your own store
  • Your own pricing rules, coupons and campaigns

What goes into the build

The parts of a store that actually take the work.

The time and cost of an e-commerce project come less from the design and more from these connections. Each one is listed as its own line in your quote.

Catalogue and product data

Categories, variants such as size and colour, technical attributes and search filters. Every uploaded image is converted to WebP automatically.

Checkout and payments

Basket, member and guest checkout, with card payments through a 3-D Secure payment gateway. Card details are entered on the gateway's side and are not stored on your server.

Shipping and invoicing

Shipment records and tracking numbers created with your carrier, and invoices issued through your e-invoicing provider. Both depend on scope and are named in the quote.

Currencies and export

Prices in more than one currency, a separate address for each language with hreflang tags, and shipping rules for international orders.

Retail and B2B together

Shoppers and dealers use the same platform with different prices, payment terms and order rules.

Search visibility

Product structured data with price, stock and variants, plus a Google Merchant feed so your products are ready for shopping results.

Selling in the Gulf and beyond

Built for buyers in more than one market.

One store for local buyers and export customers, without running two systems.

Arabic, right to left

The Arabic storefront has its own address and a right-to-left layout, including menus, product pages and checkout. It is designed that way, not mirrored after the fact.

Prices per market

Each currency shows its own prices, and shipping rules can differ by destination. Integration with local payment providers is assessed during scoping.

Same working hours

Türkiye is on UTC+3, the same time zone as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, so calls and approvals happen within your working day.

Everything in writing

An itemised quote in USD, milestones in the contract and a private preview link for every stage of the build.

How a store project runs

From product list to first order.

The discovery call settles the questions that shape the quote: who you sell to, how many products and variants you have, and which systems the store must talk to.

  1. Discovery callA free video call about retail or trade buyers, product data sources (ERP, spreadsheets, a marketplace), payment methods, carriers, languages and currencies.
  2. Itemised quoteStore, modules and every integration on separate lines in USD. Once you approve it, the price is fixed and the milestones go into the contract.
  3. Build and testEach stage is shared on a private preview link. Payment scenarios are tested in the gateway's test environment before anything goes live.
  4. Launch and handoverA Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals report, product data validation and an acceptance record. Your team gets the order and stock screen.

Moving from another platform

Change platforms without losing your product pages.

If you already sell online, the move is planned as part of the scope. Products, customers and addresses are transferred, and every old product address is mapped to its new page with a single 301 redirect and checked before launch.

Product data is the part most often underestimated. Each item needs a name, description, variants, price, stock, images, category and technical attributes. If this already lives in your ERP or on a marketplace, we import it; if it has to be written, content preparation becomes its own line in the quote.

From our workIn one recent migration, all 355 old addresses of a site were redirected to their new pages and verified one by one, with zero errors.
  • A 301 map for product addresses, verified before launch
  • Initial products in scope loaded by our team
  • Customer accounts and addresses moved with the products

Is a custom store the right call?

When custom code pays for itself, and when it does not.

A custom store makes sense if

  • You sell to dealers or trade buyers with their own price groups
  • Stock and prices must come from your ERP or accounting system
  • You need several languages or currencies, including Arabic
  • Your order flow has steps that standard platforms do not offer

Probably not if

  • You have a simple retail catalogue and few integrations
  • You want to edit the design and pages yourself in an admin panel
  • You plan to take the source code to another company

Kodem develops your software, hosts it on servers in Türkiye and keeps it up to date. The source code stays with Kodem. Your domain is registered in your name, and your content and data are always yours.

Questions

Questions about custom e-commerce

We already sell on marketplaces. Why build our own store?

Not to replace them, but to sell to repeat buyers without commission and to reach people who search for your brand directly. The margin and the customer relationship stay with you.

Which payment methods can the store accept?

Every store plan includes card payments through a 3-D Secure payment gateway, with card details handled on the gateway's side. Bank transfer and cash on delivery can be configured. Integration with local payment providers is assessed during scoping.

Can the store run in English and Arabic, in several currencies?

Yes. The Enterprise Store plan includes a multilingual, multi-currency store with international SEO tags and a right-to-left Arabic layout. Each language has its own address.

Who manages orders and stock?

Your team does, through the order and stock screen, because that is daily business work. Design, maintenance, security, integrations and content updates stay with our team; you send changes by email or WhatsApp.

Can it connect to our ERP or accounting software?

ERP, accounting and stock integration is part of the Enterprise Store plan. The quality of the other system's API affects the effort, so we review it during discovery before quoting.

How long does a store take to build?

We do not give a date before the scope is clear. After discovery, the schedule is written into the contract as milestones. In e-commerce, product data preparation and the payment provider's account approval affect timing the most.

What does a custom store cost?

Store plans start at $3,000, $5,000 and $9,000 as a one-time project fee, plus applicable taxes. From year two there is a fixed fee of $400 per year. Compare the store plans.
