Cargo details checklist
- Origin and destinationCity, country and postcode. Is the pick-up a factory or a warehouse? Does your supplier speak English, or should we coordinate in Turkish?
- Quantity and dimensionsNumber of pallets or cartons, length × width × height (cm), gross weight (kg).
- Goods and packagingDescription, HS code if known; pallets, cartons, hanging garments, crates. Stackable or not?
- ModeRoad (full or part load), sea (FCL or LCL), air, or "recommend one".
- Special conditionsTemperature range, dangerous goods class and UN number, out-of-gauge dimensions.
- IncotermsEXW, FCA, DAP, DDP and so on. This decides who handles customs on each side.
- DatesDate the cargo is ready, and any delivery window the consignee requires.
- DocumentsATR, EUR.1, certificate of origin, health certificate: which exist, which need preparing?
