Prosthetics: treatment stages
An objective description of the stages. Duration and the number of sessions vary from person to person; the indicative flow is planned for you at the examination.
Treatment stages
Examination and impressions
Your remaining teeth, gums and bite are assessed; depending on the type of prosthesis, a mouth impression or a digital scan is taken.
Try-in
Fit, bite and appearance are checked at a try-in before delivery, and any adjustments are passed to the laboratory.
Fitting
The prosthesis is fitted, and chewing and speech are checked. Care and cleaning advice is given in writing.
Fit check
A follow-up visit is arranged during the adjustment period; points of pressure or poor fit are corrected.
